Rachel,

     Isn't there anyway to get that work back!? It seems so unfair that he can just do that and nothing will happen to him. At least you will have your books back soon. And you already did the homework, redoing it won't be so bad right? I bet you triple check it anyway...

     Home is nice. Mom and Dad still miss you terrible even though they won't admit it. Mom says she wishes we could just use the post office for these letters (apparently the owls are bearing gifts.)

006 - Peeves

006 - Letter from Rachel

Erika,

     Yes THE Harry Potter, and yes I have seen him. At the sorting ceremony. He looks like... well... an orphan.

     The twins are still here. I haven't seen them doing anything against school rules yet. HOWEVER! IF PEEVES COULD DIE I WOULD KILL HIM! On my way from Potions to lunch he took my bag right out of my hands, threw it out the window right into the Whomping Willow! All my books and course work got shredded! I cried in front of everyone. I had already worked ahead three weeks in some of my classes. All that work is just gone! Professor Flitwick arranged for me to have the spare books teachers keep around until I can make a trip to Diagon Alley. What a pain!

     It's getting cooler, the leaves have changed already and began to fall too. I am going to need my warm clothes sooner than I thought.

      Give mum and dad hugs. Miss you terribly. Sorry I can't write more. I have loads of work to re-do.

Rachel,

     The Harry Potter?! Have you seen him yet? Of course he's a Gryffindore and another Weasley? Are the Twins still there? Any fun pranks yet?

     I told Mom that you didn't pack any warm clothes. I'm afraid with a few sweaters and scarfs there might be a mad letter.

     I think you should try out for quidditch, but I think you spend to much time reading. You could be FLYING Rachel Priorities!

004 - Nervous Sister

Letter 004 -  From Erika

Erika sent me a letter on her new parchment! Art Lantook separates the Muggle to Wizard mail at the post office by putting owl stickers on the envelopes. Very clever. 

Also, I erased my address so everyone can't send me tons of mail. 

Dear Rachel,

     This parchment is possibly the coolest thing ever. Did you learn it in class or one of those books you always have a nose in. Will I learn it too? What year?

     I'm a little worried about getting my letter, I can't do anything you can do. What if I don't have any magic? Do you think Dumbledore would let me visit even if I wasn't.

     If I do get in you'll have to show me around. From what you've told me the past two years I feel like I should always have a map. Do you still get lost?

     I miss you so much already. Don't forget to send a chocolate frog - not Dumbledore I already have three of him!

     I completely forgot you do not have access to an owl! Go down to the post office and ask for Art Lantook. He is a squib (non-magical person born into a magical family.) He will know how to get your letters to me!

002 Settling In

     Got all settled in for the year. As it turns out Harry Potter is in fact at Hogwarts this year. The sorting hat put him in Gryffindor with yet another Weasley! Goof. This castle will be full of red heads by the time they are all hear. It's great to see my friends again. You are the only one at home (other than mom & dad) I am allowed to talk about magic with. Nice to be back with people who understand me. I forgot again how cool it is here, I should have packed warmer clothes. You would think I would have learned my lesson by now...

   Angelina wants me to try out for quidditch again this year. I know I am athletic, however quidditch games are the only time I can get the library to myself. Speaking of, Penelope asked me to join her study group this year so I must get going.

My Dearest Erika,

     I am writing from the train so forgive my hand writing. I do enjoy this view. I will miss you again this year, but I will get to see you at Christmas like always. And hopefully you will also get your letter this coming June and next year you will join me here! I am sending you some parchment I snagged from a first year and charmed your name and the Hufflepuff House crest on it. You do know siblings tend to go in the same houses right? I am sure you would make a great Hufflepuff. Oh dear, some one lost a toad.
