005 - Letter from Erika

Rachel,

     The Harry Potter?! Have you seen him yet? Of course he's a Gryffindore and another Weasley? Are the Twins still there? Any fun pranks yet?

     I told Mom that you didn't pack any warm clothes. I'm afraid with a few sweaters and scarfs there might be a mad letter.

     I think you should try out for quidditch, but I think you spend to much time reading. You could be FLYING Rachel Priorities!

004 - Nervous Sister

Letter 004 -  From Erika

Erika sent me a letter on her new parchment! Art Lantook separates the Muggle to Wizard mail at the post office by putting owl stickers on the envelopes. Very clever. 

Also, I erased my address so everyone can't send me tons of mail. 

Dear Rachel,

     This parchment is possibly the coolest thing ever. Did you learn it in class or one of those books you always have a nose in. Will I learn it too? What year?

     I'm a little worried about getting my letter, I can't do anything you can do. What if I don't have any magic? Do you think Dumbledore would let me visit even if I wasn't.

     If I do get in you'll have to show me around. From what you've told me the past two years I feel like I should always have a map. Do you still get lost?

     I miss you so much already. Don't forget to send a chocolate frog - not Dumbledore I already have three of him!

     I completely forgot you do not have access to an owl! Go down to the post office and ask for Art Lantook. He is a squib (non-magical person born into a magical family.) He will know how to get your letters to me!

002 Settling In

Letter 002 - From Rachel

     Got all settled in for the year. As it turns out Harry Potter is in fact at Hogwarts this year. The sorting hat put him in Gryffindor with yet another Weasley! Goof. This castle will be full of red heads by the time they are all hear. It's great to see my friends again. You are the only one at home (other than mom & dad) I am allowed to talk about magic with. Nice to be back with people who understand me. I forgot again how cool it is here, I should have packed warmer clothes. You would think I would have learned my lesson by now...

   Angelina wants me to try out for quidditch again this year. I know I am athletic, however quidditch games are the only time I can get the library to myself. Speaking of, Penelope asked me to join her study group this year so I must get going.

001 From the Train

My Dearest Erika,

     I am writing from the train so forgive my hand writing. I do enjoy this view. I will miss you again this year, but I will get to see you at Christmas like always. And hopefully you will also get your letter this coming June and next year you will join me here! I am sending you some parchment I snagged from a first year and charmed your name and the Hufflepuff House crest on it. You do know siblings tend to go in the same houses right? I am sure you would make a great Hufflepuff. Oh dear, some one lost a toad.

Letters From Hogwarts

Truth be told, I am doing this because I am not ready to leave the world of Harry Potter behind. It has enchanted me.

I came up with an idea to relive it in detail. My sister and I will be writing letters to each other from (you guessed it) Hogwarts.

I (Rachel) am a 3rd year Ravenclaw student during Harry's first year. And my younger sister is a year younger than the famous trio and anxiously awaiting her acceptance letter. Should she get in?

She should be receiving her surprise package in the mail today and I can't wait for her to open it, because she is also a Potter Head. I sent her:
- Parchment
-Envelopes
-Owl stickers to seal the envelops
-Harry Potter stamps
-and a "quill"

The Hogwarts school year runs from September to June. So let's get started shall we?
